Queen of Peace

“She slept with wolves without fear,
For the wolves knew a lion was among them.”

I am a queen of peace
I know no other way
When it seemed the scream would never cease
In my mind, I’d hide and play

Mama, when I’d see that hatred in your eyes
I found refuge in my tree
My only comfort from your lies
And so…
I became the love that I had to seek

I am stronger than you
For you harbor so much hate
I know your words are not my truth
A lover and a dreamer, that is my fate

I am a queen of peace
I know no other way
So I shed you, like Autumn’s dead leaves
And spring to life, like the flowers in May.

  1. Hello 😊 while I appreciate genuine “likes” on my work, I will report you if you continue to “like” all of my random comments on my writings. I’m talking to you karbarimohajem or karbarighorbani. I suggest you stop. Thank you.

  2. This is yet another consummate piece of gold-thread-woven metaphysics. It’s a long time since a piece of poetry made pools gather behind my eyes from nothing but the purity and organic precision of every single word choice and the whole metronomic heartbeats of sadness, resolve and hope. I can safely say it’s one of the most beautiful poems I’ve ever read. You are a quiet unsung master weaving away. It’s just a wonder.
